1/10/2010 - My 5 Music Videos

These 5 music videos are my chosen videos for my analysis.

I really enjoy the 'Daft Punk' video for 'Around The World'. The choreography is fantastically well performed and is in time with the beat of the song. A simple idea turned into an amazing video.

'Kings and Queens' is one of my favourite videos; combining a fan orientated video with everyone on bicycles with the film aspect of a title sequence and credits lasting for about 2 minutes after the song has actually finished.

The 'Blood Red Shoes' video for 'Heartsink' is another fan orientated video which is also one of my favourite music videos. Having a massive group of their fans grasping onto objects that they cherish and destroying them instantly over the period of the video.

'The Catalyst' music video has some really interesting effects with the dust/smoke and the water movements. Linkin Park are very much at the center of the video and there to make a statement with just the lyrics, no visual aide.

The 'Fat Boy Slim' video for 'Weapon of Choice' is by far one of my all time favourite music videos. A fairly simple video with the likes of Christopher Walken taking the spotlight of the video showing off some simple and complicated dances moves and also at one point, he actually flies accross the lobby and dining area. I don't know if the video would have been as popular as it is if it wasn't for Christopher Walken starring in it, but even then the video is still a simple and brilliant work of art.
